2008 X Games: Big Air
By Scotty G | August 1, 2008
With a field of guys such as Jake Brown, coming back from his nasty spill last year, Bob Burnquist, Danny Way, and Bucky Lasek, the Big Air event has been anticipated by a lot of people. I’ve never watched the X Games up until a few years ago and definitely don’t participate in them, but have grown very interested in watching it on TV.

We all remember Jake Brown busting his ass last year and falling like 50 feet awkwardly landing on the ramp and got up and walked off. That sh*t is unreal, so anybody who can do that and then come back this year
and give it his all again after having an accident like that has my respect!
This year started out with Jake Brown making a run for it with his brief first place position and then Danny Way went and clipped the shit out of his ankles and did a flip onto the ramp. It was pretty scary and he was fairly lucky to not have hurt himself worse. At first, the doctors didn’t recommend that he competed, but he did anyway. He took away the lead away with a nasty run that nobody thought he was going to land.
Just when you thought it was over and the unbelievable happened. My man Bob Burnquist makes Sal Masekelacream in his pants right there on set. Just listening to this guy makes me laugh hysterically. Click the link to his name if you want to see him get pooped on the face by a seagull. It’s classic stuff!
He takes away Danny Way’s chances but the two band mates were both overwhelmed and appreciative of each other’s competition and persistence.
