“‘Hey boys, I’m still here’”: A Country Boy Can Survive
By Scotty G | August 4, 2008

Rhett Davis, a farmer from Hooper, Utah, has done something a lot of Americans would find offensive and the other part of the American society to say “Hell yeah!” After yielding complaints from his new neighbors, who have built new homes around his old farm, he offered to do something 90% of the people in his position would scoff at. He offered to go half on building a fence that would separate the farm from their new homes and cut out on the farm dust and smells of the ole’ country. Americans being Americans decided that wasn’t good enough because then they wouldn’t have their view of his beautiful country land. Hmmmm.
Well, Davis decided to do something about it and solve everybody’s problems. You see he dug three huge holes in his backyard and inserted beat up demolition derby cars in them. Kind of like a modern “Redneck Stonehenge.” This is Rhett’s way of giving the high class people of Utah the proverbial finger and telling them to wipe their ass with it. In all seriousness, this guy Rhett sounds like a nice guy and has no intentions of keeping them there. Just a good ole’ boy havin a little fun!
The funny thing is this guy said he plans on taking it down, but I think he’s about as smart as all of them and just wants them to realize how ridiculous they’re being. “I respect that they’re here and spent a lot on their homes, but on the other hand, give me a little bit, too. I’ve been here since I was 7 years old,” he said.
